College of Bible and Ministry to host Darrell L. Bock

The College of Bible and Ministry will host Dr. Darrell L. Bock of Dallas Theological Seminary Thursday, March 19. Bock will give three lectures surrounding the theme “Scripture in an Age of Doubt.”

Bock, who is executive director of cultural engagement and senior research professor of New Testament studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, graduated from University of Texas in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts, Dallas Theological Seminary in 1979 with a Master of Theology, and University of Aberdeen in 1983 with a Ph.D. He has been a New York Times best-selling author in nonfiction and has done a variety of broadcast work including appearances on ABC, CNN, Day of Discovery and John Ankerberg.

Bock has earned international recognition as a Humboldt Scholar from Tübingen University in Germany for his work in Luke, John and Acts; historical Jesus study and biblical theology. He has authored more than 30 books on biblical topics and is currently on the board of Chosen People Ministries and Wheaton College.
