Missy Robertson and her daughter, Mia, will be on campus Sept. 25 for a book signing and early release of Robertson’s book, “Blessed Blessed Blessed.” The event will be held in the Burks American Heritage lobby at 3 p.m. and is open to the public.
Robertson’s inspiration for the book is derived from the family’s personal journey. Mia was born with a cleft lip and palate, and Robertson’s book, designed to help families in similar situations, provides both education and practical assistance for families with children who have been diagnosed with cleft lip and palate.
In addition to writing the book, Robertson and her family have created a charity, “The Mia Moo Fund,” dedicated to raising awareness and funds toward research, treatments and causes of cleft lip and palate.
