Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem will continue Harding University’s concert series on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015, at 7 p.m. The concert will be held in the Administration Auditorium, and the cost is $3.
The band has been playing together for 15 years and has performed at festivals such as Newport Folk Festival and the California World Music Festival.
The ensemble is composed of four musicians: Rani Arbo, fiddle and guitar; Andrew Kinsey, bass, banjo and ukulele; Anand Nayak, electric and acoustic guitars; and Scott Kessel, percussion.
In conjunction with national breast cancer awareness month, Arbo, a breast cancer survivor, will speak on a panel with local physicians to raise awareness about the detection and treatment of breast cancer. The panel will also include Esther Pipkin, child life specialist and palliative care team member at Children's Hospital, and Alyssa Garner, director of the New Outlook Center for cancer survivors and patients in Little Rock. The panel will meet Monday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Heritage Auditorium.
Before their performance on Tuesday, the band will be in the Reynolds Center at 3 p.m. to answer questions students may have about music.
