Social clubs award more than $6K to charities

Spring Sing 2015 winners on stage

Thousands of students and hundreds of faculty and production crew members came together to perform Spring Sing 2015, “Famous for Fifteen.” The show comprised eight different shows that featured a number of themes. After four performances April 2-4, nine judges collaborated to announce the winners in individual categories and overall. Total, clubs awarded more than $6,000 to each of their shows’ chosen charities. The results were as follows:

John H. Ryan Sweepstakes Award 3rd Runner Up — A Party to Die For (Chi Sigma Alpha, Regina, Sigma Phi Mu & friends awarded a $600 donation to Special Olympics) 2nd Runner Up — First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage… (Ko Jo Kai, Ju Go Ju & friends awarded an $800 donation to Friends for Life) 1st Runner Up — The San Francisco Beat (Delta Nu & friends awarded a $1,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity) WINNER — Charlie and the Chocolate Tragedy (TNT, Zeta Rho & friends awarded a $2,000 donation to Jacob's Place)

Four remaining club shows each received the following: Bibbidi Bobbidi Bachelor — Chi Kappa Rho, GATA, Iota Chi, King's Men, OEGE, Phi Kappa Delta & friends awarded $400 to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Episode XV: A Disturbance in the Force — Delta Gamma Rho, Omega Phi & friends awarded $400 to Searcy Children's Home It’s Great to be at Hogwarts — Gamma Sigma Phi, Pi Theta Phi & friends awarded $400 to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Women in Black — Chi Omega Pi, Zeta Pi Zeta, Shantih & friends awarded $400 to The Sunshine School.
