March 17, 2016 | Music |

The Chorus, composed of 52 members, was the featured collegiate group at the Arkansas All-State Conference in Hot Springs. The group also recently performed Brahms’ “German Requiem” with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

Two songs will be conducted by members of the choral conducting class, with Hans Leo Hassler’s “Verburn caro factus es” conducted by Daniel Smith and John Rutter’s “Open Thou Mine Eyes” conducted by Dakota Lamp.

This performance also explores a mosaic of musical genres such as spirituals, choral classics, contemporary Christian pieces, and a work featuring tuned water glasses and Tibetan prayer bowls.

The performance is at 11 a.m. in the Administration Auditorium. Admission is free. For more information, contact the music department at 501-279-4343.
