Harding University added two new members to its board of trustees during its semiannual meeting in Searcy on Oct. 28 — Errica Rivera and Rodney Waller.
Rivera, of Austin, Texas, is associate advocacy and culture director for State Auto Insurance Companies where she has worked for eight years. Prior to her current role, Rivera was employed by Reach Media Inc., parent company of the syndicated “Tom Joyner Morning Show.” She graduated from Harding with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing in 1991.
A resident of Arlington, Texas, Waller retired from Range Resources Corp. in 2016 after a career in the oil and natural gas industry. Waller co-founded Snyder Oil Corp., growing it and others to national prominence while serving in senior management roles throughout his career. He graduated from Harding with a bachelor’s degree in accounting with honors in 1971.
The new appointees will attend their first meeting when the board meets again in May 2017. The additions bring the number to 28 men and women serving as Harding’s governing body.
