Department of music presents free orchestra concert

The University’s music department will present an orchestra concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21., in the Administration Auditorium.

Under the direction of Dr. Michael Chance and featuring more than 40 members, the orchestra includes student musicians as well as Searcy community members. This will be the group’s first performance of the spring semester.

The concert program includes Movement 1 Prelude from “Concerto Grosso for String Orchestra and Piano Obbligato” by Ernest Bloch, featuring senior Garrison Gerard on piano, and all four movements of “Symphonie No. 5 in C minor, op. 67” by Ludwig von Beethoven.
