The Harding University Symphony Orchestra will present its first concert of 2018 at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 in the Administration Auditorium. Admission is free.

The orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Mike Chance, is made up of nearly 50 musicians, most of which are University students, but also includes local professionals as well as advanced secondary students from the Searcy School of Music. The group will perform an evening of music by Johannes Brahms featuring his Symphony No. 3 and “Hungarian Dances Nos. 5 and 6.”

"The concert-goer will find another uplifting evening of music by the symphony orchestra on Harding’s campus and free of charge,” said Chance. “Brahm's colorful orchestration and romantic melodies in the symphony and the energy of the Hungarian Dances are sure to please all symphony orchestra fans."
