The Harding University Symphony Orchestra will present “At the Movies,” its final concert of the 2017-18 season, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 in the Administration Auditorium. Admission is free.

The orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Michael Chance, is made up of nearly 50 musicians, most of whom are University students, but also includes local professionals as well as advanced secondary students from the Searcy School of Music.

The group will present a pops concert that includes music from “Hamilton,” “Frozen,” “Wicked,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “The Lord of the Dance,” “The Sea Hawk” and “Pirates of the Caribbean."

“‘At the Movies’ is the first pops concert the orchestra has presented in several years,” Chance said. “The students are having a lot of fun stepping out of their normal formal genre in the symphony hall for this special performance.”
