Women for Harding will host the seventh annual Princess and Superhero Party from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 in the Heritage Auditorium of the David B. Burks American Heritage Building. The community is invited to attend and all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Snacks, crafts, activities and fun are part of the event, which also includes Harding students dressed as popular princesses and superheroes. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite character costume.
“This is our seventh year for this event that is presented by the University’s community service organization, Women for Harding, and we are looking forward to the new characters and activities we are introducing this year,” said Heather Kemper, event and project director for alumni and parent relations.
Seventeen characters are portrayed by Women for Harding scholarship recipients. The popular "House of Hair" will once again help enhance princess and superhero guests by providing fun hairstyles and makeup.
“Again this year we are honoring our community superheroes: police officers, firefighters and first responders,” Kemper said. “We are especially thankful for our corporate sponsors who help us raise money for these scholarships and give a great gift back to the community. The smiles on the faces of the students and the children make the event magical for everyone.”
Tickets are $10 for children ages 2-12 and $5 for attendees 13 and older. Children under 2 are free. Tickets may be purchased at hardingtickets.com , FroYo Factory, Sassy Stitch, or any local First Security Bank. For more information, call the Harding Alumni Office at 501-279-4276.
