Symphony Orchestra to present ‘Dances and Dragons’

The Harding University Symphony Orchestra will present “Dances and Dragons,” its final concert of the 2018-19 season, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 in the Administration Auditorium. Admission is free.
The orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Michael Chance,
is made up of nearly 50 musicians, most of whom are University students, but also includes local professionals as well as advanced secondary students from the Searcy School of Music.
The group will present a pops concert
with music drawn from Broadway shows as well as movies and musicals. The varied tunes will appeal to audiences of all ages and are chosen from such sources as “How to Train Your Dragon,” the soundtrack to “Somewhere in Time,” “Symphonic Dances from Fiddler on the Roof,” the soundtrack to “Apollo 13” and much more.
