Harding University announced several leadership changes across multiple colleges and departments.
The faculty leadership changes are a result of the University’s commitment to developing faculty for leadership roles.

Dr. Dana Steil was appointed assistant provost effective April 18, 2019. He has been working with the Office of the Provost since 2016 in areas of institutional research and effectiveness, and he will continue to serve as associate professor of computer science in the College of Sciences.[/caption]

Dr. Mike McGalliard was named dean of the College of Allied Health May 13, 2019. McGalliard served as the director of the physical therapy doctoral program since its inception in 2010 and replaces Dr. Beckie Weaver, who retires from the University at the end of June after 37 years of service.[/caption]

Dr. Kevin Ramey was named chair of the department of physical therapy effective May 13, 2019. Ramey, who came to Harding in 2011, previously served as director of clinical education in the physical therapy program and replaces McGalliard.[/caption]

Dr. Ruth Ann Mathis replaces Ramey as director of clinical education in the physical therapy program effective May 13, 2019. Mathis joined the University faculty in 2012 and served as assistant director of clinical education.[/caption]

Dr. Heath Carpenter has been named director of the integrative studies degree program in Harding’s University College effective June 11, 2019. The integrative studies major is intended to give students the ability to design their own degree. Carpenter will continue to serve as a faculty member of the English department.[/caption]
