Harding University launches new Master of Arts in History program

The Harding University Department of History and Political Science has announced a Master of Arts in history beginning Fall 2022. This program can be completed both online and onground in as few as 18 months and is designed for those planning to pursue careers in education, history, archeology, politics, public service, journalism, law and many other fields.

The Master of Arts in history emphasizes historiographical analysis and research skills, while offering students a flexible curriculum in the history of Europe and the United States. With a focus on meaningful scholarship, affordability and accessibility, this program helps students acquire a sophisticated knowledge of the past and a greater understanding of the global present. The program also offers an accelerated track option, allowing qualified students to complete both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in history in five years.

The mission of the department of history and political science is to provide quality, Christ-honoring instruction in the study of the past, politics and public life that enables students to perceive the meaning and determine the context of social issues.
