State’s first graduate certificate with ICF Level 1 program accreditation
SEARCY, Ark. (Oct. 23, 2023) — Harding University’s Executive and Workplace Coaching Graduate Certificate has been approved for accreditation by the International Coaching
Federation (ICF) for a Level 1 (96 hour) coach-specific education and training program. Harding is the state’s first university to have a graduate certificate with an ICF Level 1 program accreditation.
“The recognition of our coaching program by ICF reflects the integrity and effectiveness of our program and is a testament to the hard work of its director, Dr. Andrea Bishop,” said Dr. Donny Lee, dean at the Cannon-Clary College of Education at Harding University.
The new certification indicates that Harding’s coaching students are automatically approved to test for the ICF Level 1 certification when they complete the program, better equipping them for the workplace and profession as a whole. ICF is the premier coaching organization that sets the
standard for executive and workplace coaching. Other institutions that offer similar coach education programs are Brown University, Rice University, George Mason University, and Lipscomb University.
