Arkansas Tech University president Dr. Russell Jones announced Nov. 11 that Suzanne Johnson McCall (’07) has been promoted to vice president for administration and finance, having served in an interim role since June. The ATU Board of Trustees will have the opportunity to confirm her appointment during its December meeting.
"Suzanne is an experienced leader in fiscal matters," said Jones. "As a result of her background, she has a great understanding of how the State of Arkansas and Arkansas Tech University function. I am grateful that she has accepted this opportunity, and I look forward to her leadership of several important operating areas at ATU in the years to come."
McCall joined the university in 2018 as its controller, managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting. She has acted as primary liaison with external and internal auditors, coordinator of the financial year-end close and lead staff member on the annual legislative financial audit. She has also participated in institution-wide initiatives, providing financial expertise to various levels of management within the university. In her new role, McCall will have oversight of ATU operating areas such as budget, controller, facilities management, food services, information systems, payroll, procurement, student accounts and travel services.
Prior to joining ATU, McCall was an auditor with the Arkansas Division of Legislative Audit for 10 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Harding and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
