Northwest Arkansas nurse serves community after growing up in hospitals

Kyle Kendrick ('24) spent much of his childhood in and out of various hospitals and has now chosen to dedicate his career to serving others. After graduating from Harding’s accelerated Bachelor of Science in nursing program located in Northwest Arkansas, he now works as a medical-surgical ICU nurse at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas.

"My experience at Harding prepared me for my role as a nurse by teaching in a way that allowed me to retain information rather than memorize and repeat," Kendrick said. "The faculty pushed us in a controlled setting so we could learn to think under pressure. I also learned what it meant to be compassionate and empathic in patient care and that we can only give our patients the best if we are at our best. Harding taught me more about my relationship with Christ and showed me how to trust him as my guide."
