Harding University names Todd McCullough as Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer

Harding University is pleased to announce the addition of Todd McCullough as chief marketing and innovation officer.

In this role, McCullough will lead the Office of University Communications and Marketing and drive an enhanced focus on innovation across campus. His career spans decades of marketing and growth experience, including serving as chief marketing officer of Subway North America and advising organizations across a wide range of industries.

“Todd brings an exceptional combination of marketing leadership, strategic expertise and a proven record of driving innovation,” said President Mike Williams. “His experience across diverse organizations, along with his understanding of higher education, positions him well to lead our communications and marketing efforts and help Harding continue to tell its story in compelling and innovative ways. We are thrilled to welcome him back to Harding.”

McCullough has nearly 30 years of consulting leadership experience, having advised hundreds of organizations and more than 100 Fortune 500 companies on innovation and growth strategies. He was often 'consultant to the consultant,' hired by six of the eight largest professional services firms as they grappled with the emerging 'discipline of innovation'. His teams have helped generate billions of dollars of profitable revenue for clients in industries ranging from healthcare to automotive to consumer products and beyond. In recent years he has turned his focus to higher education, where he hopes to have an enduring impact on this critical field. McCullough said he is very excited to return to his alma mater.

He has taught for more than a decade at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology. Most recently, he served as the first chief innovation officer at Lipscomb University.

McCullough earned his undergraduate degree from Harding in 1984 and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
