Jennifer Cummings earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Harding and a Master of Science in nursing from Memphis University. She has spent her career in pediatric health care, currently serving as a Registered Nurse for a pediatric nephrology clinic. Here, Cummings provides comprehensive patient care coordination in an outpatient setting, operating as a liaison between patients and the varied members of their care teams. She has many responsibilities to juggle in this role, but her primary focus is ensuring that families receive timely, compassionate and evidence-based care. Cummings developed this foundation of compassionate care during her time at Harding. She credits her professional success to the friendships and support she gained from both classmates and faculty in the Carr College of Nursing. Over the years, Cummings has been the recipient of many awards for her work. Her greatest reward, though, has been the opportunity to reflect God’s love through her job. Whether it is being a supporter, extending grace or educating families as they navigate a new diagnosis, she feels privileged to walk alongside patients and their families as they go through some of their hardest moments.
