Mark Slagle holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with a global narrative focus from Harding. His career since then has been characterized by mission-minded stories and endeavors. He is a co-founder of Good Spread Peanut Butter, an initiative of the nonprofit Mana Nutrition. For each jar of peanut butter sold, ready-to-use therapeutic food is delivered to a malnourished child. The impact of this company has spread worldwide since its inception. Slagle also cofounded the narrative studio 1504, where he serves as executive producer. In this space, he expands on the curiosity and compassion he learned at Harding. He works for connection: the connection people have to one another, to themselves and to the world around them. Daily, Slagle sees the sacred in what is commonly considered ordinary, and he uses storytelling to help others see that same level of beauty all around them.
