January 21, 2015 | Women for Harding
Women for Harding will hold a princess and superhero party Saturday, Jan. 31 in the Harding University Heritage Auditorium from 9-11:30 a.m.
Children will be provided with crafts, snacks and games. Harding students will portray 18 princess- and superhero-themed characters and interact with guests throughout the morning. New characters this year will include Anna and Elsa from Disney’s “Frozen” and Superman.
“This is our third year for this event, and we are expecting a large crowd,” said Liz Howell, assistant to the president for parent and alumni relations. “Women for Harding scholarship recipients portray most of the characters, and we are very pleased that our corporate sponsors help us raise money for scholarships and give a great gift back to the community. The smiles on the faces of the students and the children make the event.”
The event will be held in American Heritage Auditorium of the David B. Burks American Heritage Building. Children are encouraged to dress in costumes, and a parade of characters will begin at 9 a.m. Tickets are available in the Office of Alumni Relations, Harding Academy Elementary office, the Tangerine Turtle, Radio Shack, Sassy Stitch, and all Searcy locations of First Security Bank. Tickets are $10 for children and $5 for adults.
