Shawnetta Duncan began the MBA program after one of her relatives raved about the classes and professors. She knew attending classes regularly wouldn’t fit her busy schedule but decided to look in to the MBA program because she heard she could acquire her degree completely online.
As director of nursing at Riverdale in Benton, Arkansas, Duncan wanted to further her education and learn more about the business aspect of her job in order to become more versatile in the workplace.
“At first, I was nervous about getting a degree in something that wasn’t my expertise,” Duncan said. “But now I feel comfortable because my professors have really explained things to me and have truly helped me along the way.”
Despite working in an online classroom, Duncan said many of her classes involved a lot of interaction, which made her feel like she was actually there. Duncan said she has especially enjoyed her classes in which the professors post video responses and discussions online.
“I am very glad that I chose to attend Harding because I am continually impressed and learning,” Duncan said. “This program is truly helping me with my nursing career, and I thank Harding for the opportunity.”
