One-hundred percent of nursing graduates pass national exam on first attempt

The Harding University Carr College of Nursing announced on Monday that all 15 members of its December 2016 graduating class have passed their national licensing exam, the NCLEX-RN. All of the graduates received a passing grade in their first attempt at the exam.

The results from December graduates are only the most recent example of quality graduates from the Carr College of Nursing. In the past four semesters, 79 graduates have passed their national licensing exams — all in the first attempt. College of Nursing Dean Susan Kehl credits the 100 percent passing rate to the hard work of students, faculty and staff.

“The Carr College of Nursing faculty and I are honored to work daily with students who seek to offer safe and quality patient care in diverse care settings,” Kehl said. “The success of the graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is due to the diligent and sacrificial work of students, faculty and staff at the college. We are grateful to work alongside so many individuals who seek excellence to honor the mission of the Lord and the University.”
