Harding Academy has named Jeff Veal as its new superintendent. With more than two decades of leadership in education and ministry, Veal brings extensive experience leading growing campuses, advancing academic programming, strengthening faculty culture and building meaningful school-family partnerships. He will officially transition into the role this summer.
“We are proud to welcome Jeff Veal to the Academy and the University Cabinet,” said Dr. Mike Williams, president of Harding University. “He is mission-aligned with exceptional leadership acumen, communication skills, and experience leading in a Christ-centered institution. He is warm, engaging, passionate and genuine.”
A 1999 Harding University alumnus, Veal graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in youth and family ministry and social sciences, receiving national academic and leadership honors. A certified EC–12 principal, Veal holds a Master of Education in educational leadership and policy and has served across elementary, middle and upper school settings.
“I am excited to contribute to the mission of Harding and the tremendous impact we can make for the cause of Christ,” Veal said. “Harding Academy has a strong legacy of faith, academic excellence and community. I look forward to partnering with faculty, families, students and the broader Harding community as we continue building on that foundation and preparing students for lives of purpose and service.”
During his tenure as Upper School Principal and Lead Learner at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, Texas, Veal helped lead approximately 450 Upper School students within a National Blue Ribbon School institution serving more than 1,400 students. His leadership in a nationally recognized, high-performing academic environment reflects a commitment to operational excellence, student achievement and strategic growth.
Veal has also played a key role in expanding curricular opportunities, including the development of Senior Capstone experiences and career certification pathways designed to prepare students for college and career readiness within a Christ-centered framework. His work reflects a commitment to both academic rigor and spiritual formation, ensuring that faith and learning are intentionally integrated across the student experience from early childhood through graduation.
