Harding University holds closed commencement ceremony for fall graduates

Harding University will conclude the fall semester with a closed commencement ceremony for graduates and faculty at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 in Benson Auditorium. The ceremony will be live streamed at streaming.harding.edu .

Members of this semester’s graduating class represent 10 countries including Belize, Bolivia, China, Dominican Republic, Greece, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Japan and Uganda, as well as 32 states. Degrees will be conferred from the College of Allied Health, College of Arts and Humanities, College of Bible and Ministry, Paul R. Carter College of Business Administration, Cannon-Clary College of Education, Carr College of Nursing, College of Sciences, and the University College.

The commencement address will be given by Dr. Bill Richardson, a professor of Bible and ministry at Harding University since 1995. In his career, he has 45 years of ministry experience as a youth minister, education minister, pulpit minister, and missionary in Guatemala, Argentina and Chile. He currently serves as a shepherd with the Downtown Church of Christ in Searcy, Arkansas, and as a preaching and teaching minister at La Casita, a Spanish speaking congregation of Iglesias de Cristo, in Searcy. He has received a Volunteer Award and Brave Heart Award from New Life Behavior Ministries for his supervision of translators of prison curriculum; has been named as a Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers; and has a long list of speaking engagements, ministry and missions experience across the globe.
